Spa beach and free beachOn the more than 2 km long, light-colored sandy beach - with or without beach chairs, depending on your taste - with or without cliffs - with or without dogs, everyone will find "their" very special stretch of beach.
It's not just sun worshippers who will find what they're looking for here, but also little adventurers, shell seekers and sports enthusiasts. The spa beach is guarded by the DLRG. The beach is divided as follows: 1.5 km natural beach as a free beach, 2.1 km spa beach (partly 100m away from parking facilities, partly below the cliffs). The spa beach is concessionary from 01.04. - 30.09. and is subject to charges (free with a valid ostseecard).action and fun beachWould you like to combine your beach vacation with active water sports? Then why not rent a pedal boat with the whole family? The surfing and sailing school in Alt-Hohwacht offers courses in all categories for the very sporty. Don't miss the gourmet markets, the pirate festival, the boogie, blues and folk nights or the New Year's beach lighting.Dog beaches Dogs are welcome on the designated beach sections:approx. 100 m above the Seestraße parking lot, beach entrance 1 and approx. 150 m below the cliffs, beach entrance 9Please observe the following "rules" on the dog beaches:Dogs must be kept on a lead in the forests and nature reserves. From October 1 to March 31, you can walk your dog on all beaches. In the meantime, please pay attention to the "Dog beach" signs. Your dog is allowed to swim and romp on the designated dog beaches even in summer. Please do not walk your dog on the other beach areas.
