In the footsteps of the pilgrims
Start: Cross Tourist Information, Zindelstr., Nikolaistr., Bürgerstr. and follow Lotze-Straße to Sandweg, turn right to Überweg (zebra crossing), past the sports facilities and turn into an avenue (attention: entrance hidden by hedge), straight ahead through a small valley to Kiessee, past Rosdorf to the railway crossing, turn left in the direction of Leine and after 20 m turn right. At the end of the cycle and farm road, turn right in the direction of Obernjesa. Drive to the roundabout on the L 573 and follow the cycle path to Obernjesa. Through the village, continue on a cycle path via Klein Schneen to Friedland.
Return: From Friedland to Groß Schneen through the Feldmark (unfortunately no signs). At the end of the village of Friedland, turn left and cross the Leine over the wooden bridge. After another 100 m, turn left on the cycle path and continue on the double concrete strip. Before Groß Schneen, turn right and drive to the B 27. Cycle through the village to the north until you reach the sign "Ludolfshausen". After 500 m, turn left on this road in the direction of Ballenhausen. Drive through the village to Reinhausen. In Reinhausen turn right and drive into the village. You can visit the monastery church and admire the rocks along the thoroughfare. Take the thoroughfare back to the roundabout and follow the cycle path to Diemarden. In front of the church, turn into Bahnhofstraße and cycle along the cycle path, along the garden until you reach the asphalt path, after 200 m on the gravel road / later on the asphalt road to Geismar, turn left at Am Rischen and follow the cycle path to the B27. Ride on the cycle path to Kiesseestraße, turn right, after ~ 200 m turn left into Großkurthstraße, via Ortelsburger Straße, Elbinger Straße to the New Town Hall.
