Highlight tour through the Duisburg city forest

Start at the parking lot of Duisburg Zoo on Mülheimer Straße and start the tour on the forest path in the middle. After a right-hand bend over narrow paths, turn left into the Forsthausweg up towards the forester's house. Turn right and pass the forester's house to the wild boar enclosure. At the next T-junction, turn left into Kammerweg and immediately right into Finkenpfad. Follow this to the small forest pond. Go right and immediately left again through the tunnel under the railway line. Behind the tunnel, keep to the right and after a few hundred meters you will come to the old quarry, which you circle once. Behind the quarry, turn left into Dachsweg, cross the Uhlenhorst country road. Half right into the Hombergweg and then left up the beaten path up the hill. Turn right at the top and right again at the next opportunity. You come to the barbecue area on the Worringer Reitweg and walk around it to the hiking car park. Leave the car park on the right and cross the Worringer Reitweg. Keep left in the forest and turn left at the second opportunity. Turn right in front of the fence and follow it until you turn right into a narrow path. Turn left into the "Hammerstein" path and then right into the Broicher Waldweg. At the next crossroads there is a refuge with picnic facilities. Turn right here into Vogelherdweg. Follow the path to a fence, then turn left back to the Worringer Reitweg. Walk along the road to the right until you reach a hikers' parking lot. Cross the road and take the second path into the forest at the beginning of the parking lot. Again at a hikers' car park, turn right, cross the Uhlenhorst country road again and go downhill, then slightly uphill to Haus Hartenfels. Follow the path straight ahead and turn left into Klöcknerweg. The first path on the right leads you back to the parking lot.
