Wilhelm-Friedemann-Bach-Haus

On the occasion of the 300th birthday of Wilhelm Friedemann Bach, his former home in Große Klausstraße in Halle was structurally restored. The home of Johann Sebastian Bach's eldest son is now home to a music museum that takes you on a chronological journey through the city's musical history. In addition to Bach, the focus is on composers such as Scheidt, Reichardt and Loewe. Wilhelm Friedemann was one of the organ virtuosos of his time. The undoubtedly musically talented first-born son was subject to particularly high expectations from his parents, and the shadow of his apparently overpowering father had a strong influence on his life.
