A poodle of love.
...attentive observers may have already noticed - there is actually a poodle sitting on this roof. But why? The shipowner Carl Laeisz had a strange weakness for the letter "P". All the names of his sailing ships therefore had to begin with "P". Even his wife was given a pet name with a "P": "Pudel(chen)". As a sign of his love, he therefore placed this poodle sculpture on the central gable of the Laeiszhof.
