Chemnitz
Time travel to the Middle Ages
In Saxony's smallest castle, visitors walk along historical paths. The authentically restored rooms and murals bear witness to times long past. A visit here is an impressive excursion into the world of the Middle Ages and offers the opportunity to experience history up close. And if that's not enough, you can also discover the surrounding area. The castle is located in Chemnitz's relaxation oasis, so to speak - lots of forest including a zoo, wildlife park and climbing forest, the popular reservoir and the Rabenstein rock dome.
From May to October, you can visit the interior and at Easter, the medieval festival attracts many people every year with its merry minstrels, fascinating jugglers and daring knight fights.
