Steps at St. Philip's Church

The steps on the banks of the Karl Heine Canal are considered an absolute hotspot for relaxation and enjoyment during the hot season. In the west of Leipzig, not far from St. Philip's Church, the stone steps overlook the water. The hustle and bustle and noise of the city are far away, so the steps are the perfect place to soak up some warm sun rays. In the summer, a number of Leipzigers from the adjacent neighborhood gather here to enjoy hours of sunshine and conversation together, to picnic, or to watch the passing gondolas, canoes, and boats.
