Bad Honnef
Picturesque jewel on the Rhine
The island of Grafenwerth belongs to Bad Honnef like Konrad Adenauer and the carnival. It has been owned by the city of Bad Honnef for 100 years and offers a picturesque backdrop with the Siebengebirge in the background, the view of the Rhine and the island of Nonnenwerth as well as extensive shore areas. For many, "the island" is a true place of longing.
No wonder that the "jewel on the Rhine" with its parking areas, walking paths, the leisure pool, the large playground and multifunctional area and the beer garden is a particularly popular destination. People of all generations meet here and enjoy the high quality of leisure time and the many possibilities of use. It is particularly nice that nature is the focus on Grafenwerth. Since 2006, the island has been a protected landscape area where you can discover rare animal and plant species as well as landscapes worthy of protection.
