Gellener Torfmöörte
The Gellener Torfmöörte belongs to the nature reserve "Ipweger Moor, Gellener Torfmöörte" and lies in the districts of Wesermarsch, Ammerland and Oldenburg.
Characterised by moor grassland, ponds, peat cuttings, forest and moor heath, the high and low moor presents itself to you from its diverse side. Experience a special variety of birds, amphibians and especially dragonflies on your way. In the Gellener Torfmöörte you can still discover the particularly rare Great Moss Maiden. Birdwatchers also get their money's worth: tree pipits, stonechats and various warbler species cavort on the 120-hectare moorland.
The rich occurrence of swamp calla, also known as dragonwort or snakeroot, is best admired between May and July, when the plant shows its large, white bracts.

The Moorseer Mühle Museum takes you into the fascinating world of regional mill history and technology. The largest developed mill ensemble in Lower Saxony awaits you. The listed Moorseer Mühle mill from 1903/1904 forms the heart of the museum. Here you can admire a fully functional mill, which is regularly shown in operation. The bread baking days are particularly exciting, where you can enjoy the smell of freshly baked bread. Discover the history and technology behind the mills and be enchanted by their beauty. The mill sheep and the café also look forward to your visit.

Experience maritime history up close
The fascinating stories of shipping can be discovered in the telegraph. It tells about the hard everyday life on board the whalers of the 19th century and provides interesting information about nautical folk art and exotic sailor souvenirs. A highlight is the unique view of the city, the harbor and the Weser, which can be enjoyed from the upper floor of the tower. The permanent exhibition presents half-models, ship portraits and figureheads, which complement the exciting tour through the museum.

Mill full of culture
The Seefeld Mill offers more than just a historical experience. Here you can book guided tours of the mill with people in disguise and visit a fully restored gallery Dutch windmill. Visitors can enjoy a break with fresh cake and coffee in the mill café. The varied cultural program includes art, handicrafts, theater, cinema and concerts. The mill is also a popular meeting place for boules, singing, weaving, spinning and games evenings. Enjoy regional, seasonal and fair trade products in the mill shop.

The treetop tower offers a fascinating opportunity to experience nature from a completely new perspective. Great views and entertaining information about the forest can be soaked up here. Climbing the treetop tower provides a unique insight into the beauty of the Wesermarsch's largest forest.

Nature experience "Zur Großen Angelkuhle
The nature experience "Große Angelkuhle" makes the heart of every nature lover beat faster. The approximately five-kilometer-long circular trail leads through a beautiful natural area, where you will certainly encounter one or the other animal.
Where the so-called "rubber train" used to run between Oldenburg and Brake, a path has now been created for cyclists, hikers and horseback riders. Along the old railroad embankment there is an educational tree trail with 10 display boards and 5 motorcycle elements. Also in the area is the "medicinal plants nature trail". Here you can learn what our native plants can do. The "Birch Square" invites you to rest and linger.

Great panorama over river landscape
The "Weitblick" observation tower is located on a small hill directly on the Weser. With a height of 15 meters and 64 steps, it offers a great panoramic view of the river landscape, even as far as Bremen on a clear day. Information boards at the foot of the tower provide interesting insights into the history of dyke construction and the landscape. Take the opportunity for relaxed walks, hikes or cycle tours along the Weser.

Plank ship Hanni
You want to discover the north from the water? In the Wesermarsch you can experience a very special adventure on the plank ship "Hanni". The Hanni is a unique replica of a historic plank ship and takes you back in time. While you sail through small piers and enjoy the landscape, the boatmen will tell you all kinds of interesting things.
Between May and September you can let your soul dangle during a trip to the piers and on the Weser.

Weser-Side-Gallery
The Weser-Side-Gallery, which was created in summer 2018, begins directly at the "Weitblick" observation tower on Flughafenstraße. On a flood protection wall along the former airport site, an open-air gallery extends over a length of approx. 1,000 meters. This is one of the largest in the country.
National and international graffiti and street art artists have created many unique works of art together with local organizations.
