Selenter See, Seekrug
The 22.4 km² Selenter See is the second largest lake in Schleswig-Holstein and is known for its abundance of fish, among other things. Eels, perch, pike, vendace and roach can be found in the lake. The bathing area at Selenter See is located on the eastern shore near the Seekrug restaurant on the B 202 about 5 km east of the center of Selent. Due to the numerous hiking trails through the lake, the municipality of Giekau is an insider tip for holidaymakers. The Seekruger Bucht with its bathing area is the center of summer activities.
