From the blood chamber to the Gänseliesel
From the Blood Chamber in the Old Town Hall you have a great view of the market square in Göttingen with the Gänseliesel fountain. You can visit the blood chamber on a guided tour of the city. Admittedly, there is no blood to be seen here today. The name is also more reminiscent of the Thirty Years' War, when Göttigen was overrun by Wilhelm von Weimar and the Göttingen resistance retreated to what is now the Blood Chamber.
