Horse breeding and tradition

Thousands of spectators visit the North Rhine-Westphalian State Stud every year, as the internationally renowned events such as the "Warendorfer Hengstparaden" and the "Symphonie der Hengste" (Symphony of Stallions) take place here. But the stud is not only impressive as a venue for these renowned events: successful breeding progress is one of its top priorities. With a history of almost 200 years, the state stud has great experience and makes it possible to provide horse breeders with high-quality and genetically interesting stallions. The center of German professional riding is affiliated with the North Rhine-Westphalian State Stud with the German Riding School and is located in Warendorf. The city of Warendorf offers interesting guided tours of the grounds of the North Rhine-Westphalian State Stud and through stables, during which much worth knowing is imparted about the almost 200-year history of the stud itself, as well as about breeding and special features of the farm and stallions.
