Old town hall with high tower
The Old Town Hall was built at the end of the 15th century and has undergone several renovations. The Renaissance portal with the half-figures of Judith and Lucretia on the high tower is a particular gem. It also contains a figurative carillon depicting the history of the town. The High Tower has its origins in the 12th century. Once the permanent residence of the town bailiff, it has been part of the Old Town Hall since the 14th century. In 1986, it was given back its baroque octagonal storey with dome and thus its appearance from 1746. Today, the High Tower houses the permanent exhibition "Towers, tower keepers, tower stories". You can also enjoy a magnificent view of the city center.
