Wurster Nordseeküste
Monumental symbol on the coast
Not only is this majestic lighthouse virtually unique as a true-to-original sea mark from the end of the 19th century, it also makes an excellent photo opportunity and offers an indescribable view of the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site. The lighthouse, which is now a monument, can be climbed via an external staircase.
And it's hard to believe: the Obereversand lighthouse has only been standing on the Dorum coast since 2003. Before that, it was exposed to the wind and waves for over 100 years - it was born in 1886 in the middle of the Wadden Sea, 40 kilometers away from its current location.
