Bus station

The bus station in Karl-Marx-Stadt was considered one of the most modern in Europe. The suspended pylon roof built in 1968, which spans an area of over 1,200 m² and offers waiting passengers protection from rain and snow, is truly outstanding. In combination with the Alte Aktienspinnerei behind it, which today houses the university library, the ensemble forms a field of tension between architectural epochs.
