Capodopere contemporane: Muzeul de artă din Leipzig cu clasici de renume mondial.
Muzeul de Arte Frumoase (pe scurt MdbK) este una dintre cele mai vechi colecții publice din Germania. Numeroase capodopere din secolele XV - XXI sunt prezentate aici pe o suprafață de peste 7.000 de metri pătrați de expoziție.
500 de ani de istorie a artei sub un singur acoperiș vă invită să vă întâlniți cu maeștri vechi precum Frans Hals și Lucas Cranach cel Tânăr, cu romanticii Caspar David Friedrich și Andreas Achenbach și cu artiști din Leipzig precum Max Beckmann și Max Klinger. Arta școlilor din Leipzig este, de asemenea, reprezentată în colecția MdbK. Acestea sunt binecunoscute iubitorilor de artă și colecționarilor din întreaga lume și includ lucrări ale unor artiști precum Bernhard Heisig, Wolfgang Mattheuer, Neo Rauch, Matthias Weischer și Christiane Baumgartner.
Muzeul de Arte Frumoase oferă, de asemenea, un program educațional de mare amploare. Printre acestea se numără, de exemplu, programul de duminică pentru familii "EMDEBEKA", un program extins de vacanță și tururi ghidate publice ale muzeului în fiecare miercuri și duminică.
