Em uma viagem no tempo em Saarland
Lendas e lendas se entrelaçam em torno de sua origem e decadência gradual. Enquanto isso, a vida volta a reinar nas antigas muralhas, que foram restauradas após 1991. Isso já é garantido pelas visitas guiadas com o fantasma do castelo, as damas do castelo ou o cavaleiro.
Já por volta de 500 a.C., os celtas construíram um complexo semelhante a um castelo na montanha no Saarschleife. O atual Castelo de Montclair foi concluído em 1439. Pertenceu a várias famílias nobres e perdeu cada vez mais importância ao longo dos séculos.
Em 1989, o distrito de Merzig-Wadern adquiriu o castelo da família von Boch e restaurou-o. Hoje, o Castelo de Montclair é um destino popular com um bistrô aconchegante e uma cervejaria.
As torres defensivas apresentam uma vista magnífica sobre a paisagem. O museu foi criado de acordo com aspectos educacionais do museu. E já na caminhada até o castelo (aprox. 3,5 km), jovens e idosos podem explorar muito sobre animais e plantas na "Forest Experience".
