Viaje a través de la electrificación
En el antiguo edificio administrativo de Schleswig-Holstein Netz AG (SH Netz) hay numerosas rarezas, incluida la maquinilla de afeitar eléctrica que el "actor cantante" Hans Albers donó al museo después de su visita en 1948. También se puede admirar un huevo de zurcir iluminado desde el interior, que el canciller Konrad Adenauer había inventado, pero que, como se ha dicho a menudo, no patentó. La gama de objetos expuestos es amplia: además de la radio de tubo más pequeña del mundo en aquella época, el "Knirps" de Wobbe, o un enchufe de madera tallado por él mismo, también se puede descubrir un melón en el museo. La exposición, concebida por la Universidad de Kiel, está dedicada tanto a los cambios técnicos como a los efectos sociales del Art Nouveau. En las salas de estar, de música y para niños, amuebladas con cariño con objetos de la época, así como en la lavandería y en el baño de hombres, se puede experimentar el Art Nouveau en todas sus facetas. No solo merece la pena visitar la exposición permanente, sino que el edificio en sí, construido en 1920, también es impresionante. El imponente edificio de ladrillo fue diseñado por el arquitecto y maestro de obras Fritz Höger († 1949). El Schleswig-Holsteiner es considerado uno de los principales representantes del expresionismo de ladrillo del norte de Alemania.
