Castillo de Etelsen con parque del castillo
Construido en 1886 en estilo neorrenacentista*, el castillo de Etelsen vivió una historia llena de acontecimientos. El Schlossparkverein Etelsen e.V. se ha propuesto la tarea de preservar el castillo, que es importante mucho más allá del distrito de Verden, y el parque del castillo de aproximadamente 10 hectáreas con su flora y fauna, que es un edificio protegido.
El parque del palacio, situado en Etelsen, en la ladera del Weser, fue modernizado alrededor de 1900 por el inspector del paseo ducal Friedrich Kreiß de Brunswick en nombre del conde danés Christian zu Reventlow. El arquitecto del mausoleo neogótico fue el conocido maestro de obras Conrad Wilhelm Hase. En más de 4 km de rutas de senderismo, los visitantes pueden disfrutar de la diversidad de la naturaleza durante largas caminatas. En todos los lados del castillo, los elementos arquitectónicos y las estructuras definen el aspecto ajardinado de la extensa zona del parque. Un óvalo frente al edificio del castillo, decorado con rosales y una fuente, sigue dando la bienvenida a los visitantes hoy en día. Detrás del castillo, comienza la extensa pradera del parque, a la que se accede por sinuosos senderos. Grupos de árboles más grandes y más pequeños interrumpen el área y crean una conexión con el área del parque similar a un bosque, donde se encuentra un mausoleo. Cásate en una ceremonia civil en el castillo y disfruta del hermoso parque con tus invitados. Dependiendo del caso individual, las formas provienen principalmente del repertorio del Renacimiento italiano o principalmente del Renacimiento alemán o del Renacimiento nórdico del siglo XVI.
