Bilsteinhalde - Geological jump Brilon
The theme trail "Geological Leap" explains the special geological, topographical and cultural-historical situation of the Brilon limestone dome landscape and the Bilstein. The title stems from the special feature that two different geological testimonies from the Devonian period can be experienced directly in a very small area: the limestone domes of the Brilon plateau on the one hand and the diabase deposits of the Bilstein on the other.
