Ludwig Museum Koblenz
Modern Art in Historic Ambiente
Modern French art meets the historic walls of the Deutschherrenhaus, where current positions in art after 1945 come to life. Once a branch of the Teutonic Order, this medieval building houses an extensive collection of works by Pablo Picasso, Jasper Johns and Niki de Saint Phalle. Sculptures enrich the adjacent park, while inside, the works of American, German and French artists initiate a dialogue between past and present. The foundation of Peter and Irene Ludwig made it possible to create this unique combination of place and art.
