A walk above the treetops

The path winds its way through beech, oak and Douglas fir trees for about 800 metres, reaching a height of 23 metres. Once here, the path winds its way over the treetops up into the air and ends in the 42-metre-high observation tower, which offers a breathtaking view of the valley of the Saarschleife. The view also opens up to the green hills of the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park and, on a clear day, even as far as the Vosges Mountains. The maximum gradient of 6% also allows wheelchair users, families with prams and people with walking disabilities to easily cope with the 20 meters of altitude. One of the most beautiful premium hiking areas in Saarland stretches around the Saarschleife.
