Eastbake

A full nine kilometers from the city center, deep in the Ostland, the Oostbake rises up from a seven-meter-high dune. With a height of around 7.30 meters and a six-meter-high "pole", it still serves as a landmark for small boats today. The impressive thing about the Oostbake is not necessarily the structure itself, but the surroundings. Dunes, woods, a diverse flora and fauna, simply untouched nature within a radius of several kilometers. The beach and sea can be seen in every direction, at dusk the light of the new lighthouse shines towards you and you can always hear birds or fallow deer from somewhere. So orientation is not just for sailors. If you take a deep breath, take it there.
