Decisive battle

One of the city's most famous landmarks commemorates the historic Battle of the Nations against Napoleon in the fall of 1813. It was the largest military conflict of all time up to that point. It finally ended the supremacy of the French Emperor Napoleon, who had previously dominated large parts of Europe. Today, after climbing 364 steps, you can enjoy a phenomenal panoramic view of Leipzig and the surrounding area, or get further spectacular insights into the events of the wars of liberation and their climax, the war-deciding Battle of the Nations near Leipzig, in the integrated museum "FORUM 1813".
