Noah's sail viewing platform

In the heart of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Rhön is the viewing platform "Noah's Sail" on the 814 meter high mountain Ellenbogen near Oberweid. The Ellenbogen is the highest mountain in the Thuringian Rhön. The 21 meter high tower has nine floors and 84 steps. The ascent rewards with an incomparable panoramic view into the land of open distances, across the entire Rhön region to Bavaria and Hesse. All brave guests can "ride" back to earth from a height of 12 meters via an adventure slide. Landing is in the exhibition building. Here you can learn a lot of interesting facts about the geology, history, fauna and flora of the Rhön. The exhibition building is also a popular resting place for hikers.
