Leibniz-Tempel
Leibniz Temple
The Leibniz Temple in the Georgengarten was created as a pavilion building with twelve Ionic columns between 1787 and 1790 in honor of the Hanoverian polymath Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. It was the first monument in honor of a non-noble in Germany. Originally, the Leibniz Temple stood on Waterlooplatz, but it was moved here in 1935.
