Immersion in a breathtaking landscape

Limestone and dolomite were once mined here, and today you can visit the remains and take a trip back in time. The circular trail leads past impressive rock formations and deep ponds, which are home to numerous rare species of plants and animals. Particularly worth seeing is the so-called "Steinerner Beutel", an impressive dolomite rock block shaped like a dripping bag. The viewing platform on the Lörmecke tower also offers a spectacular view over the quarries and the surrounding landscape.
