Not a place for fair weather people

The Brocken is famous and infamous for its extreme weather conditions. Why? Because there are more hurricanes here than on the Zugspitze or the North Sea. The highest measured wind speed: 263 km/h in 1984. But that's not all, because no other place in Germany has ever had more than 330 foggy days in one year (1958) - that's a record!
