Hidden ruin awakens from slumber

Parasite house with city wall remains - a historical jewel! The name "Schmarotzerhaus" sounds strange at first, but the building tells an interesting story. In the past, "parasites" lived here, i.e. house inhabitants who did not have to pay taxes, but in return had no rights. Today the house is a monument and houses the local museum. Next to the parasite house there is a restored part of the city wall, which gives an impressive insight into the medieval fortification of the city. From here, you also have a great view of the old town and the diverse cityscape.
