Forest ship in the Biber valley

The forest ship has dropped anchor in the Biber Valley in the town of Rüthen. The forest ship, a project component of the ERDF project (European Regional Development Fund) "WaldMeer", is an information point on the Sauerland Forest Route, which is used for environmental education measures. The forest ship was built by the Arnsberg Forest Nature Park Association. The forest ship was officially inaugurated at a ceremony on May 27, 2015. The starting point for exciting exploration tours with the ranger, as well as a rest stop for hikers, its shape was modeled on a sailing ship and is therefore unique. The forest ship is a small information center and ranger station. Among other things, it is used to find out about dates and hikes. As a meeting place, it has its own toilet facilities - also for people with disabilities! This makes the forest ship a place to stay that supports environmental education and also facilitates and enables access to nature for people with disabilities. Another photo point on the Möhne Valley Cycle Path: cross the wooden bridge and on the left-hand side you will see an information board about photo points: Video about the MöhnetalRadweg and website:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGy1TzP8Vu4 https://www.moehnetalradweg.de/ Further information about the Arnsberg Forest Nature Park can be found on its website at the following link: http://www.naturpark-arnsberger-wald.de/startseite/ We wish you interesting insights and beautiful hiking tours through our wonderful nature.
