Breathtaking views and hiking trails

300 million years of geological history are revealed in breathtaking, over 100-metre-high rock faces, which were created by the mining of Piesberg sandstone. Children have the chance to discover past worlds on a fossil expedition and, equipped with hammers and goggles, search for fossilized treasures themselves. A borrowed backpack takes little adventurers through plants, animals and fossils. Parents and children can enjoy the panoramic view from the highest point together and learn about the town's industrial past in a playful way in the Museum of Industrial Culture or on a light railway ride.
