Discover the sunken city in the lake

Every ten to fifteen years, the draining of water from an artificial lake reveals a medieval village. You will walk through the ruins of Fabbriche di Careggine, visit the old church and the abandoned paths where blacksmiths once practiced their art before the village was flooded in 1947. A rare window into a bygone world, only sporadically visible.
