An Ice Age remnant.
This erratic boulder probably immigrated to Hamburg during an ice age, lay in the Elbe for a long time and was found at the end of the last millennium during dredging work and brought to the banks of the Elbe. But that's not all: after its "immigration" it was first christened "Old Swede" in June 2000 and then officially naturalized. Since then he is - with his 217 tons - probably the biggest and heaviest citizen of the city.
