Historic showdown on the bridge

Every year in June, the Ponte di Mezzo is transformed into an arena, where teams from different districts of the city, dressed in period costumes, push a heavy vehicle across the bridge to defeat the opponents. This spectacle, part of the Giugno Pisano, combines medieval competitions with a magnificent parade and honors the patron saint San Renieri.
