The complete tour can also be viewed on a unique 360° panoramic tour. The Leipzig Music Trail connects the most important original locations in Leipzig's city center over a length of 5.1 km. Curved steel elements in the ground mark the ribbon winding its way through the city center. The tour can be started and ended at any station.

The Museum der bildenden Künste (MdbK for short) is one of the oldest civic collections in Germany. On more than 7,000 square meters of exhibition space, numerous masterpieces from the 15th to the 21st century are presented to you here. 500 years of art history under one roof invite you to encounter Old Masters such as Frans Hals and Lucas Cranach the Younger, the Romantics Caspar David Friedrich and Andreas Achenbach, and Leipzig artists such as Max Beckmann and Max Klinger. The art of the Leipzig schools is also represented in the MdbK collection. These are well known to art lovers and collectors worldwide and bring together works by artists such as Bernhard Heisig, Wolfgang Mattheuer, Neo Rauch, Matthias Weischer and Christiane Baumgartner. The Museum der bildenden Künste also offers a wide-ranging educational program. These include, for example, the Sunday family program "EMDEBEKA," an extensive vacation program, and public tours of the museum every Wednesday and Sunday.

You can dine like God in France when you visit Café Maître on Karl-Liebknecht-Straße. The French-style café lives up to its name and offers masterful cuisine from the neighboring country. Whether quiches, crêpes or macarons, the delicacies are made with great care in the in-house bakery and patisserie. And you can taste it. If you would like to take a piece of French indulgence home with you, you can buy them in the adjoining delicatessen. Much of the Café Maître's interior dates back to the early years since its opening in 1906. The Art Nouveau interior with its ornate stained glass windows, coffee house furniture and cozy outdoor seating make a visit to the Maître the perfect laissez-faire experience.

Then as now, it is considered a meeting place in the green, where Leipzig life can be enjoyed wonderfully. The Music Pavilion in Clara Zetkin Park was built as early as 1912 and was intended to entertain the people of Leipzig with outdoor orchestra concerts. With success: from the beginning, the concerts in the Music Pavilion were very popular and attracted up to 2000 visitors to the park on concert days. Over the years, the program and performers have changed again and again, but the event pavilion has never lost its popularity. Today, the historic white building is complemented by a restaurant with a beer garden and, in addition to the traditional music performances, is especially popular for watching sports events together.

The Botanical Garden of the University of Leipzig is the ideal place to discover the fascinating diversity of the plant world. On an area of about three hectares you will find plants from the most diverse vegetation zones of the earth, distributed among the apothecary garden, the greenhouses, the scent and touch garden as well as the open space of the facility. A special highlight is the butterfly house, where you can experience butterflies in a natural environment and up close. With a history of over 400 years, the Botanical Garden in Leipzig is the oldest of its kind in Germany.
