Located directly under the imposing bell tower of the former warp knitting machine building, which has been repurposed in a variety of cultural and business-oriented ways, the glass coffee factory, which can already be described as venerable, offers everything a person's heart could possibly desire in terms of the inspiring, hot beverage. Raw beans of the "Coffea Arabica" variety are roasted and then offered for consumption. It is also possible to purchase special coffees for different types of preparation and quite unusual coffee utensils. And it is like this: At some point, you have to leave this fragrant realm, but not without a small longing that arises from the pleasure of leaving.

The idea for Emma's Uncle came from the unusual idea of offering Italian coffee out of a fancy converted construction trailer. The construction trailer still exists. It is the nucleus and focal point of numerous events that Emma's Uncle provides with tasty treats and the best coffee in the city. Speaking of events: Twice a year, Emma's Uncle is the center of two festivals that are known beyond the Kaßberg hood: The 100 Christmas Market and the 100 Meter Summer, organized by the Lessing & Companie bookstore and the Badische Winzerstube in the immediate vicinity of Emma's Uncle, are highlights in Chemnitz' calendar of events.
