Discovery tour into the mystical moor
In Ahlenmoor you can get to know the moor in a variety of ways - individually or on guided tours.
A trip on the moor train is particularly exciting. What is a moor anyway? Why does the moor grow? Who lives in the moor? These and other questions will be answered on the two-hour tour through the Ahlenmoor. You will learn all about the formation of moorland landscapes, their special flora and fauna, how they are used and the current situation of this ecosystem, which is worth preserving.
The starting point is the MoorInformationsZentrum (MoorIZ) in the old peat works. The MoorIZ complements the moorland experience with a café-restaurant, a themed store and numerous events. An interactive exhibition invites visitors to learn more about the past and future of the moor's natural and cultural landscape.
The guest card entitles you to a reduced fare for the moor train.

Beverstedt
Exploring rewetted moorland
Surrounded by mysterious moorland landscapes, the Große Moor Bokel opens up a fascinating world in which specific plant species can survive. The one-kilometre nature trail leads to the Schautorfstich and the Bokel observation tower, from where you have a wonderful view of nature.
Along the way, benches invite you to linger and rest. Many interesting things can be expected along the way. Information boards provide information about the flora and fauna and the history of the moor and invite you to take a closer look and observe.

Hagen im Bremischen
Explore the Hagen King's Moor
After the end of industrial peat cutting (1971-1996), the Königsmoor was restored to its original state in its core area of about 90 hectares by rewetting in 1999. A natural area that was thought to have been lost was thus preserved.
A circular path leads through the moor, where you can experience the fascinating nature up close in about 2 hours. Here you will find information boards about the flora and fauna of the Königsmoor, which explain this unique landscape with rare plants and animals in more detail. There is also an observation tower from which you have a magnificent view of the surrounding nature.
A good entry point to the trail is the Burg zu Hagen or from the Möhlenstroot.

Wingst
Panoramic view of the moor lake
From the Balksee observation tower, you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the Balksee in the Wingst. The tables and benches set up in the tower invite you to enjoy a snack and, with a bit of luck, you might even spot a white-tailed eagle.
The naturally grown moorland lake is the core area of the "Balksee und Randmoore" nature reserve. Parts of the nature reserve can be explored via the cycle and hiking trail in Wingst Süderbusch. A fantastic opportunity to leave everyday life behind and enjoy nature.
