Unique azulejos façade
Over 16,000 hand-painted, blue-and-white azulejos adorn the exterior walls, telling stories of São Francisco de Assis and Santa Catarina. This unique façade, created in the early 1930s, stands as a living monument of Portuguese art and culture. The chapel itself, an 18th-century gem, houses important religious paintings, including the Retábulo de Nossa Senhora da Serra do Pilar.
