Diversity of art
The Orangery is home to the Gera Art Collection, which houses an impressive collection of paintings, drawings, prints and sculptures by various artists from the Middle Ages to the present day. The permanent exhibition of Otto Dix's expressive late work, with paintings from 1944 to 1969, is of particular interest. Special themed exhibitions are also held regularly, offering an insight into modern and contemporary art.
