In addition, the city park offers playgrounds for children and plenty of space to relax, for example, the area around the Sorgebrunnen fountain in the southern part of the park. The city park is located directly to the south behind the main train station. After crossing the Flutgraben, the park begins via a small stairway.

Luisenpark/Three Fountains Park
The park, created around 1900, was christened "Luisenpark" in memory of the visit of the Prussian royal couple. Both the old tree population and the location between the two streams of the Gera, the Bergstrom and the Walkstrom, are characteristic of this park. It is also characterized by the three springs located upstream. Every year the starting signal for the duck race is also given here.
The Dreienbrunnenpark can be reached via Alfred-Hess-Straße, where parking is available directly. The Dreienbrunnenpark does not have any steps.

Change in the historic park
The Brühl Garden, a listed park, is undergoing an exciting transformation. Originally designed as a spa garden in the 1960s, it has reinvented itself in recent years. Old avenues of trees have been preserved and combined with modern elements such as a music shell and pergola. Access to the banks of the Walkstrom offers a peaceful atmosphere. A place that harmoniously combines past and present.

Fitness trail at the former combined heat and power plant
The fitness trail at the former combined heat and power plant was built as part of the redesign of the park of the same name. This means that young people and adults can do the same as the children on the playgrounds and really work out.
The course is made of recycled stainless steel on a rubber-like floor. Due to the well thought-out and diversely equipped facility, the whole body can be trained playfully or on a professional level.
The surrounding park separates the different areas in places by slight hills. Colorful flowerbeds with plants of all kinds, curved paths and surrounding benches create a small idyll around the obstacle course.

Dendrological garden
Located between Luisenpark, Steigerwald and egapark, the garden was created from 1959-1961 for study purposes. In 1959, a resolution of the city of Erfurt stipulated that the garden should represent the plant family Rosaceae. This can still be admired today. In addition, flowering cherries are native to the park. With reconstructed seating terraces, the garden monument offers many opportunities to relax and linger.
The Botanical-Dendrological Garden is located south below the egapark and can be easily reached by streetcar line 6 - final stop Steigerstraße or streetcar lines 2 and 4 - stop Gothaer Platz.

The Südpark near the Steigerwald is a spacious park behind the Steigerwald Stadium.
The 7-hectare area with over 100-year-old trees invites you to stroll and relax, but also to engage in sports activities directly behind the Erfurt-Süd sports complex.
The Südpark is located directly at the Steigerwaldstadion. It can be reached by streetcar line 2 and 3, stop "Agentur für Arbeit". You will find ample parking on Johann-Sebastian-Bach-Strasse.
