Marvel at pots from all over the world
The Alte Liebe is indeed old: The two-story wooden structure was built in 1733 - as a jetty and breakwater. In fact, ships still leave from the Alte Liebe today for the islands of Neuwerk and Helgoland and the seal banks.
Above all, however, people meet on the Alte Liebe to marvel at the big ships from all over the world that pass by here very close by.
During the day from April to October - between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. - the Ship Announcement Service Cuxhaven e. V. informs guests on the "Alte Liebe" about the size, origin and destination of the passing ships.
