Surrounded by historic architecture and a relaxed atmosphere, the Lustgarten in front of Berlin Cathedral is the perfect setting to relax. On 43 hectares, you can stroll through ten themed gardens and nine garden cabinets, experiencing garden art from a wide variety of eras and cultures. From Asian bamboo forests to oriental fountains and European garden splendour, every corner offers a new, authentic experience. Children will enjoy playgrounds and a maze. A highlight is the cable car ride, which offers a unique view over the complex.

Charlottenburg Palace was built from 1695 to 1699. In summer, the palace can be visited from 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., in winter until 4.30 p.m.; it is closed on Mondays. The park around the castle can be visited free of charge. It is a large area, so it is perfect for cycling or jogging. If you prefer to take it easy, like me, you can take a book with you, have a picnic or visit the park inhabitants (there are goats on the grounds).

Relaxed hikes can be taken along the banks of the Maybach. Surrounded by green landscapes and picturesque nature, the area offers an ideal backdrop for active recreation. A network of hiking trails makes it possible to explore the area and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. The route is well signposted and also offers new discoveries for locals. Whether alone or accompanied, this hike is the perfect way to enjoy nature and get away from it all.

Immerse yourself in a world where 5000 fish and marine animals can be explored without a diving license and dry. The glass tunnel allows you to experience the dazzling underwater world with your own eyes, while colorful schools of fish, sharks and corals pass overhead. For children, watching the show feedings is particularly exciting.

On the forest nature trail "Wald.Berlin.Klima" in the Grunewald Tower, visitors can gain exciting insights into the natural characteristics of the forest. A 4 km circular trail leads past eleven information islands that provide information about the current state and future of the forest in the face of climate change. From a vantage point, there is an impressive view of Lake Pechsee, which is now home to numerous rare plant and animal species.

Very relaxed

Between majestic trees and lush green meadows, you will find peace and quiet or the perfect route for your jogging or bike ride. Children will enjoy the large playground with soft sand, zip line, swings, slides and a climbing pyramid.

From the viewing platform of the Müggelturm tower, which rises on the small Müggelberg hill, you can see the surrounding forest and lake landscape in the distance. At a height of 30 meters, it offers a magnificent view of the silhouette of Berlin city. There is a bistro at the base of the tower, which offers drinks and snacks at weekends and on public holidays. Enjoy the view with friends and family over snacks and drinks!

Enjoy fresh produce directly from the farm shop or let yourself be fascinated by the history in Berlin's oldest residential building. Here you can observe animals on the pastures and expand your knowledge in workshops.
