+++ Winter break until March +++ The Hofgarten is a quiet green oasis on the edge of Augsburg's city center. The green area, surrounded by a fence, was created between 1739 and 1744 in front of the neighboring bishop's residence. Even today, the Hofgarten with its strict box hedges around the borders, stone sculptures, including stone dwarves - large grotesque figures made of sandstone -, a fountain and a water basin still shows the garden style of the Rococo. Benches and garden chairs in the area invite you to take a break. It will reopen on March 28, 2024

By the way, around the corner in the Black Box you can relax and enjoy the view of this magical place with cold drinks and various delicacies.

At Kuhsee you can swim and row while enjoying the sun and fresh air. There are also playgrounds for children and restaurants if you want to take a break. Kuhsee is a popular place for families and an oasis of peace on the edge of the Siebentisch Forest.

The European Council has declared the Way of St. James the first European cultural route. Historic routes were built and create since 1987 the legendary pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, 2500 km away. You can experience a small part of the way from here, incl. petting zoo & super view of the Lech valley.

Make your family outing an experience factor! Playfully explore interesting facts about the flora and fauna of the local forest. On 2 km you can understand nature with all your senses at the knowledge stations. The forest adventure trail of the city of Aichach is located in the charming landscape of the "Aichacher Grubet", which was characterized by early historic iron ore mining. Whether alone, with friends or family, you will find fun and relaxation here: The well-kept mini-golf and pit-pat course is open from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., depending on the weather. It is idyllically located in the middle of the Singoldpark in the immediate vicinity of the Aquamarin outdoor pool (Parkstraße). The associated kiosk offers chilled drinks, ice cream or coffee for refreshment. Even on hot summer days, numerous trees provide shade in the beer garden. In addition to free parking, bicycle parking is also available.

With its turquoise clear water, the Weitmannsee in the Wittelsbacher Land has a karibi feeling. West of Kissing you will find the lake, with a wonderful location in the Lech floodplains. Spacious playgrounds and sunbathing lawns, a beach volleyball court, children's playground and a restaurant with public toilet facilities await you. The DLRG station ensures the safety of bathers. The natural southern part of the lake with its islands offers a unique habitat for many aquatic animals.
