Etelsen slott med slottspark
Bygget i 1886 i neo-renessansestil *, opplevde Etelsen slott en begivenhetsrik historie. Schlossparkverein Etelsen e.V. har satt seg fore å bevare slottet, som er viktig langt utover bydelen Verden, og den ca. 10 hektar store slottsparken med sin flora og fauna, som er en fredet bygning.
Slottsparken, som ligger i Etelsen ved Weser-skråningen, ble modernisert rundt 1900 av hertugpromenadeinspektør Friedrich Kreiß fra Braunschweig på vegne av den danske grev Christian zu Reventlow. Arkitekten til det neo-gotiske mausoleet var den kjente mesterbyggeren Conrad Wilhelm Hase. På over 4 km turstier kan besøkende nyte mangfoldet i naturen under lange turer. På alle sider av slottet definerer arkitektoniske elementer og strukturer hageutseendet til det omfattende parkområdet. En oval foran slottsbygningen, dekorert med rosesenger og en fontene, ønsker fortsatt besøkende velkommen i dag. Bak slottet begynner den omfattende parkengen, som nås med svingete stier. Større og mindre grupper av trær forstyrrer området og skaper en forbindelse til det skoglignende parkområdet, der et mausoleum ligger. Gifte deg i en sivil seremoni i slottet og nyt den vakre parken med gjestene dine. Det er et unikt bakteppe for bryllupsbildene dine (Standeamt Langwedel, Tlf. 04232-3911).* Neo-renessanse eller neo-renessanse er en stil av historismen i det 19. århundre, der renessansearkitektur brukes. Avhengig av det enkelte tilfellet, kommer formene hovedsakelig fra repertoaret til den italienske renessansen eller hovedsakelig fra den tyske renessansen eller den nordiske renessansen i det 16. århundre.
