Etelsen Slot med slotspark
Etelsen Slot blev bygget i 1886 i nyrenæssancestil* og oplevede en begivenhedsrig historie. Schlossparkverein Etelsen e.V. har sat sig som opgave at bevare slottet, der er vigtigt langt ud over Verden, og den ca. 10 hektar store slotspark med dens flora og fauna, som er fredet.
Slotsparken, der ligger i Etelsen på Weserskrænten, blev moderniseret omkring år 1900 af den hertugelige promenadeinspektør Friedrich Kreiß fra Braunschweig på vegne af den danske grev Christian zu Reventlow. Arkitekten bag det neo-gotiske mausoleum var den velkendte mesterbygger Conrad Wilhelm Hase. På over 4 km vandrestier kan besøgende nyde naturens mangfoldighed under lange gåture. På alle sider af slottet definerer arkitektoniske elementer og strukturer haveudseendet i det omfattende parkområde. En oval foran slotsbygningen, dekoreret med rosenbede og et springvand, byder stadig besøgende velkommen i dag. Bag slottet begynder den omfattende parkeng, som der er adgang til via snoede stier. Større og mindre grupper af træer afbryder området og skaber forbindelse til det skovlignende parkområde, hvor et mausoleum er placeret. Bliv gift ved en borgerlig ceremoni på slottet og nyd den smukke park med dine gæster. Det er en unik baggrund for dine bryllupsbilleder (Standeamt Langwedel, Tlf. 04232-3911).* Neo-renæssance eller neo-renæssance er en stil af historicisme i det 19. århundrede, hvor renæssancearkitektur bruges. Afhængigt af det enkelte tilfælde kommer formerne hovedsageligt fra repertoiret i den italienske renæssance eller hovedsageligt fra den tyske renæssance eller nordiske renæssance i det 16. århundrede.
