Zámek Etelsen se zámeckým parkem
Zámek Etelsen, postavený v roce 1886 v novorenesančním stylu*, zažil pohnutou historii. Zámecký park Etelsen e.V. si dal za úkol zachovat zámek, který je významný daleko za hranicemi okresu Verden, a přibližně 10hektarový zámecký park s flórou a faunou, který je památkově chráněný.
Zámecký park, který se nachází v Etelsenu na svahu Vezery, byl kolem roku 1900 modernizován vévodským inspektorem promenády Friedrichem Kreißem z Brunšviku z pověření dánského hraběte Kristiána z Reventlow. Architektem novogotického mauzolea byl známý stavitel Conrad Wilhelm Hase. Na více než 4 km turistických stezek si návštěvníci mohou vychutnat rozmanitost přírody během dlouhých procházek. Architektonické prvky a struktury na všech stranách zámku určují zahradní vzhled rozsáhlého parkového prostoru. Ovál před zámeckou budovou, zdobený záhony růží a fontánou, vítá návštěvníky dodnes. Za zámkem začíná rozsáhlá parková louka, na kterou vedou klikaté cestičky. Větší i menší skupiny stromů přerušují prostor a vytvářejí spojení s lesoparkovým areálem, kde se nachází mauzoleum. V závislosti na konkrétním případě pocházejí formy především z repertoáru italské renesance nebo především z německé renesance či severské renesance 16. století.
